We’re looking for a Finance Assistant who’s eager to move beyond the numbers. Someone who wants to understand the “why” behind the figures, support decision‑making, and become a true bridge between finance and the wider business.
This is not your typical transactional finance role. You’ll be working closely with senior management and leaders of different areas of the business, taking ownership of a diverse portfolio and playing a key role in driving performance across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting the month‑end process, including journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Preparing insightful management reports and analysis to help senior leaders understand performance and make informed decisions.
* Partnering with other areas of the business to review budgets, forecasts, and performance.
* Monitoring key financial metrics and identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
* Assisting with forecasting and business planning activities.
* Helping to implement process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
* Acting as a bridge between finance and the wider business, translating financial data into actionable insights.
What We’re Looking For
* Part-qualified or actively studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or similar.
* Experience in a management accounts or assistant accountant role.
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
* Excellent communication and confident engaging with non‑finance stakeholders.
* A self‑starter with a commercial mindset and curiosity about how the business operates day‑to‑day.
