Procurement Intern (Sourcing) – 12 months, starting April 2026

Location:
Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Description & Scope:
* Implements sourcing plans/tactics to manage sourcing activities related to assigned project portfolio
* Provides sourcing and procurement support, ensuring parts are sourced in a cost‑effective and timely manner from suitable vendors.
* Works with assigned project teams to meet critical project timelines, prioritizing work and communicating progress in cadence reviews/through tracking mechanisms.
* Defines part & assembly parameters for systematic Purchase Order release.
* Assesses supplier capabilities and makes recommendations for new supplier onboarding.
* Understands strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drives initiatives to meet departmental objectives.
Responsibilities: Order Management
* Process purchase orders and sales orders accurately in ERP systems
* Track order status and ensure timely delivery
* Update system when dates have been moved
Sourcing Support
* Follow‑up on request for quote (RFQ) packages
* Ensure accurate documentation, send additional documentation as necessary
* Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, deliveries, and order confirmations
* Resolve discrepancies in invoices or shipments
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Operations, Business Economics or a related discipline
* Process and quality improvement driven
* Experience with data management and control principles
* Proficient in MS Office applications, SAP (favourable) or other ERP system
* Negotiation and decision‑making skills
