Data Analyst – Manufacturing | Glasgow (On-site/Hybrid)

A leading high-precision manufacturing group with operations across the UK and Europe is looking for a commercially minded Data Analyst to join its Glasgow site and support engineering and manufacturing teams across the business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting close to operations — turning MRP / ERP data into clear insights and Power BI dashboards that actually influence decisions on the shop floor and in the boardroom.
What you’ll be doing:
* Analyse MRP / ERP data across materials, production, inventory, demand planning, capacity and lead times
* Build and maintain Power BI dashboards aligned to operational and commercial KPIs
* Translate complex data into clear, actionable insight for non-technical stakeholders
* Support root cause analysis for stock shortages, excess inventory, late orders and production inefficiencies
* Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance and Operations teams
* Improve data quality, definitions and reporting standards across sites
What we’re looking for:
Essential
* Experience as a Data Analyst / BI Analyst in a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Strong experience working with MRP / ERP data (BOMs, routings, production orders, inventory)
* Advanced Power BI and data modelling
* Strong SQL skills
* Comfortable presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
* Experience in discrete manufacturing
* Knowledge of supply chain, production planning or inventory management
* Experience working across multiple sites or business units
* Exposure to lean / continuous improvement
