Our client, a leading engineering firm, is seeking highly experienced Bid Manager / Proposal Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Warrington. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact EPC projects across a range of sectors including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Utilities, Energy or Power industry.
About the Role
As a Proposal Manager /Bid Manager you are required to lead the preparation and submission of proposals for our Automation Production site based in St Helens. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in production panels and Motor Control Centre (MCC) panel projects, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Production Proposal Manager you will be responsible for Proposal Development, Lead kick-off meetings, storyboarding sessions, Facilitate review meetings, final document checks.
You will ensure brand compliance and maintain a content library and manage proposal timelines and ensure timely delivery.
Bid Strategy & Management: Identify client priorities and win themes. Create and execute proposal project plans and Facilitate bid/no-bid discussions and track RFP data.
You will act as the main point of contact for prospects. Handle follow-up and Participate in client visits and presentations.
Process Improvement: Enhance proposal processes and Maintain the RFP response knowledge base. Submit final proposals and ensure value-driven content and analyse contract requirements and define bid cost structures. Team Management: Coordinate with subject matter experts across departments. Lead proposal teams and report progress to executive management.

Experience & Qualifications
* Bid Manager will have Strong knowledge of electrical panel and MCC panel design/manufacturing background.
* Organizational: Excellent project and time management skills.
* Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
* Analytical: Skilled in data analysis and opportunity identification.
* Experience: 10+ years in proposal/estimating roles, ideally in sectors like oil & gas, nuclear, utilities, or power.
* Education: Degree in engineering or a related numerical discipline, or equivalent experience.
