In This Role, You Will
* Work within the ITIL framework to manage incidents, problems and changes.
* Investigate system issues raised via Service Desk and resolve them promptly, using permanent solutions or temporary workarounds.
* Address root causes of incidents to prevent recurrence and minimise business impact, applying data fixes or system changes.
* Develop, test, document and implement changes/fixes requested by the business or required for incident/problem resolution.
* Participate in service improvement projects and suggest improvements from an Application Operations perspective.
* Monitor day‑to‑day operations to ensure service stability and report to management.
What will make you stand out?
Strong analytical reasoning and problem‑solving skills; ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and work under pressure to meet SLAs. Experience developing fixes to resolve service issues, proven expertise in Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, and hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting are essential. Technical capability combined with operational resilience enables effective support and continuous improvement of critical systems.
Experience that will help you stand out
* IT service management experience.
* ITIL Foundation qualification or equivalent.
* Experience working with Third Party Vendors/Managed Service Providers.
* Knowledge of file transfer tools.
* Experience with Control‑M batch scheduler and GIT/Bitbucket.
* Exposure to JBoss and Axway environments.

Hybrid Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid role, based primarily at Temple Quay, Bristol. Colleagues are expected to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in‑person to support collaboration and connection.
