About the Role:
As a Senior Geophysicist, youll support subsurface investigations from instruction through to data interpretation and reporting.
The role involves acquiring and analysing borehole geophysical data, contributing to ground models, and supporting site investigations across brownfield and greenfield projects.
A mix of site and office work, with opportunities to develop and progress.

Responsibilities
* Plan and design geophysical surveys, delivering robust technical solutions from bid stage through to completion
* Supervise field activities to ensure high data quality and adherence to technical standards, with site support as required
* Lead the analysis, interpretation, and reporting of complex geophysical data, producing clear and reliable outputs
* Uphold quality assurance standards, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget while encouraging innovation
* Contribute across sectors including infrastructure, engineering, environmental investigations, UXO, and utilities
* Support and mentor junior team members, providing ongoing technical guidance
* Carry out occasional fieldwork in the UK and overseas as project needs dictate
What Were Looking for:
* Education: Postgraduate qualification in geophysics or a closely related field
* Experience: 7+ years in near:surface geophysics, with proven experience delivering complex projects and leading teams
* Technical Capability: Strong working knowledge of key methods including GPR, EM, magnetometry, microgravity, electrical (resistivity, IP), and seismic techniques (refraction and surface waves)
* Software Skills: Proficient with recognised processing and interpretation packages (such as Oasis Montaj, GeoGiga, SurfSeis, Res2Dinv, Zonde, Aarhus Workbench or equivalent). Experience with Python and GIS/mapping tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, QGIS) is beneficial
* Leadership and Communication: Effective leader with clear communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to varied audiences
