Estate Manager – Private Estate, Shropshire c. £50,000 – £70,000 DOE Excellent accommodation An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estate Manager to oversee the smooth running of a 2,000-acre private estate in Shropshire, comprising arable land, forestry, and livestock. Our client is seeking a highly capable individual with the depth of knowledge and proven experience required to manage a complex, diverse estate with confidence and vision. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations across arable, forestry, and livestock enterprises. Ensure compliance with governance, regulation, and health & safety standards. Manage estate finances, including accounts, budgets and grants/subsidies. Lead, manage and support estate staff and contractors, fostering a positive working culture. HR duties. Deliver effective administration and office management. Develop and implement projects, including regenerative and experimental farming initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with local councils and the wider community. Promote an ecological and sustainable ethos throughout the estate. The Ideal Candidate Extensive estate management experience with a track record of success. Strong knowledge of agricultural subsidies, grants, and rural business finance. Passionate about regenerative agriculture, ecology, and sustainability. Excellent organisational, administrative, and IT skills. Capable leader with strong people and project management abilities.
