If so, we are looking for a Transport Operations Manager to join us, on a full time, permanent basis, to be based Leicester.

What you'll do on a typical day:
* Take full operational accountability and responsibility for your site, effectively managing your time to ensure a safe and efficient service
* As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and development
* Manage the relationship between XPO and our customers, constantly communicating across various stakeholders
* Ensure that all teams are aligned, operating to XPO standard policies and procedures
* Support the Contract Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence
* Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated
* Working closely with the customer on a day-to-day basis, you'll support with period reviews and customer presentation in the contract managers absence.
* Provide leadership and guidance for your team to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication
What you need to succeed at XPO:
* Ideally, you'll already be a Transport Manager or have Transport experience in a 3PL environment, looking for the next step
* Great People Management and Leadership skills
* Fantastic stakeholder management skills both internally and externally.
* Commercially minded – understanding and managing the P&L for the site.
* International CPC holder – essential
* A track record of resolving complex issues and delivering results in a fast paced environment
