How you'll make an impact
As Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, helping the business understand performance, and supporting process improvements as the company continues to scale.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting month-end close, preparing journals for accruals, prepayments, and WIP
Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
Helping monitor project performance, budgets, and profitability
Maintaining the sales and purchase ledger, invoicing, and credit control
Supporting cash flow reporting and analysis
Reconciling intercompany transactions and assisting with group consolidation
Assisting with VAT returns and audit preparation
Providing analysis and insight to senior stakeholders across the business
Why our client is excited about you
You're a motivated and enthusiastic finance professional with a solid grounding in accounting fundamentals and a desire to keep learning. You bring energy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting decision-making.
You'll also have:
AAT qualification (Level 4 or equivalent)
Desire to start or continue studying ACCA or CIMA (study support provided)
Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, and prepayments
Strong Excel and general IT skills
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
The ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
What you'll get in return
