Salary: Between £29,316 and £34,394 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year

Role
King’s Trust Team Leader in the Adult and Community Learning and ESOL department at The Bedford College Group
Responsibilities
* Plan, organise and lead King’s Trust Team (KTT) programmes, delivering structured activities including induction, team building, residentials and community projects to achieve learning outcomes.
* Recruit participants through partnerships with job centres, schools, employers and community organisations, promoting the programme and creating progression opportunities.
* Provide leadership, mentoring and regular reviews to support learners’ achievement of qualifications and employability skills.
* Manage risk assessments, ensure safe delivery of activities and placements, maintain accurate records and monitor performance in line with College and King’s Trust requirements.
* Liaise with employers, placement providers and team leaders, manage budgets and resources, contribute to planning processes, uphold safeguarding, EDI and professional standards.
Qualifications and Experience
* GCSE English and maths, Level 3 qualification and teaching award (or willingness to achieve).
* Experience supporting young people, including those with challenging behaviours, using guidance, mentoring and motivational techniques.
* Strong leadership, organisational and programme delivery skills; ability to plan, coordinate and manage time effectively.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, working with employers and stakeholders to support placements, training and progression opportunities.
* Confidence, adaptability, self‑motivation, commitment to safeguarding, equality and professional boundaries; flexibility to travel, work across sites and continuously develop skills.
