The role
As a Generator and Diesel Engine Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of maintaining and improving critical infrastructure that supports national defence — work that truly matters. Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
1. Providing expert support for engine-related systems in Building
2. Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and POL (Petrol, Oils & Lubricants) issues
3. Supporting maintenance teams and projects with your specialist knowledge
4. Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld
5. Acting as an Authorised Person for Mechanical Pressure Systems and POL
This role is full-time, 36 hours worked over 4 days, and is based on site at RNAD Coulport, near Helensburgh.
Essential experience of the Generator and Diesel Engine Specialist:
6. Proven experience working on Diesel, Oil, or Petrol engines
7. Hands-on experience with Generators
