Masterstaff are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team, to work in a 20 bedroom hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, managing housekeeping staff, and maintaining inventory and cleaning supplies.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff (room attendants, laundry attendants, etc.)

Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met
*
Manage staff scheduling, timekeeping, and task assignments
*
Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing training and support to the team
*
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest room amenities
*
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, hotel policies, and cleanliness protocols
*
Coordinate with maintenance and front desk teams to report and resolve any issues promptly
*
Assist with hands-on cleaning duties as needed, especially during peak periods
*
Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements where necessary
*
Ensure all laundry operations are efficient and properly managed
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in housekeeping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or head housekeeper role (hotel or hospitality industry preferred)
*
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
*
Excellent organizational and time management skills
*
Ability to lead, motivate, and train a team
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
*
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required
*
Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role
The hours of work are flexible, however you must be prepared to work some weekend.
