About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team in Newcastle Upon Tyne (NE1). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs, including ADHD and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition).
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, adaptable lessons across a range of subjects, tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of our students. The role requires creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons across multiple subjects
* Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ADHD and ASC
* Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies where needed
* Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external professionals
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly ADHD and ASC
* A compassionate and patient approach to teaching
* Strong commitment to inclusive education and student development
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility and creativity in delivering a broad curriculum
* An enhanced DBS
