Responsibilities of a Travel Consultant:
* Provide expert guidance, specialist insight, and practical recommendations to both travel trade business partners and direct clients
* Design bespoke travel experiences tailored to the specific preferences and requirements of each customer.
* Identify opportunities for enhancement of travel itineraries, adding meaningful extras, achieving optimal value to the client and healthy profit to the team.
* Take pride in endeavouring to provide an unparalleled level of service
* When needed take ownership of issue resolution, ensuring client concerns are treated empathetically
Experience and Skills required for this Travel Consultant position:
* Prior experience working in a travel sales environment, whether that be as a Travel Consultant in retail travel, tour operations or similar
* Desire to perform well within a passionate sales team
* Love of travel (essential), backed up by personal experience in off-the-beaten-track places would be a big plus (non-essential)
* Strong focus on attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience using travel booking systems xsngvjr desirable
Additional Information:
* Hybrid Office Working (flexible pattern depending on your requirements)
* Monday to Friday, 9am 5.30pm (Saturday work for the first 6 weeks of the year)
* 25 days annual leave per year plus familiarisation travel
