Capgemini Engineering is recruiting an Aerospace Metallic Materials Engineer to join the existing Materials and Process Team. The role will support operations and activities around existing and new technologies in aerospace applications.
Your Role
Working directly on-site or remotely with the customer, you will take a key role in delivering Capgemini Engineering and customer projects. The candidate will be expected to utilise engineering principals and knowledge to support a wider range of topics – with an emphasis on, but not limited to, aerospace metallic materials and manufacturing principals.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing, evaluate and provide materials design and process guidance from first principals, covering predominantly:

3. Steels
4. Titanium
5. Grades, heat treatments, surface treatments of the above
6. Applications including:
7. Power systems – propeller, rotors
8. Landing gear
9. Hybrid primary and secondary structures
10. Developing Manufacturing Engineering processes
11. Joining and assembly techniques
12. Galvanic and anti-corrosion assessment and methodologies
