The Role
:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring customer requirements are met, and overseeing the design, delivery, and budget management of projects ranging in value from £5k to £1.2m.
You will work closely with the Sales and Design team to ensure smooth delivery of projects and ensure they client’s needs are met at every step of the way.
To be successful in this role you should be resilient, able to work well under pressure and have a drive to deliver projects to a high standard
This role would be ideal for anybody who is currently in a project manager role, or who is a project engineer, looking for career progression into project management
This role is ideally suited to an individual coming from a strong engineering background, as understanding of engineering processes, Compliance, and the ability to understand CAD drawings is essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Review and ensure project specifications meet customer needs.
2. Coordinate with the engineering team to define design parameters.
3. Manage timescales, delivery schedules, and project budgets.
4. Review and sign-off on design drawings and material selection.
5. Engage with customers to clarify project requirements.
6. Oversee project handover from sales and ensure seamless transition to engineering and manufacturing.
7. Oversee projects from conception to completion (cradle to grave)
8. Ensure guidelines and regulations are adhered to
9. Using the SAP ERP system for planning resources
What we’re looking for in a candidate:
10. Previous engineering experience / background
11. A solid understanding of engineering principles, with some experience in managing and delivering project management preferred.
12. Familiarity with ERP systems, Microsoft Projects, and Excel.
13. Resilient, determined, and able to manage multiple moving parts in complex projects.
14. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
15. Self-driven individual with confident communication skills
16. Ability to work independently from the engineering manager
