We now have a vacancy for a full-time, Band 3 Healthcare Assistant in the Community Peritoneal Dialysis department at Salford Royal Hospital.
You will provide care and support to patients within the hospital and community setting regarding all aspects of Community Peritoneal Dialysis.
You will be supported within the role with ongoing training, including the renal foundation programme.

You must possess an NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent, with at least 2 years’ experience in the NHS or an equivalent healthcare setting. Renal experience and some knowledge of dialysis are desirable. The role is both exciting and challenging, where teamwork is essential and initiative is paramount. Excellent communication, confidence, compassion, interpersonal, and IT skills are required.
You must have a full driver’s license and access to a roadworthy car. Business insurance is also required.
Salford Royal Foundation Trust is a tertiary centre for renal patients, serving the West of Greater Manchester with inpatient, outpatient, and in-centre hemodialysis services.
You will be providing care for patients and families on peritoneal dialysis at home and in hospital across the west sector of Greater Manchester.
We also have teams supporting community peritoneal and home haemodialysis, as well as Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) management, on site.
