Care Assistant and Support Worker Positions in Bury
We are currently recruiting for numerous providers in Bury who are eager to hire Care Assistants and Support Workers. All positions are within Adult Social Care. While not all require prior experience, a strong understanding of the work involved and experience caring for others are essential.
Our roles support individuals across various care settings, including care at home, supported living, and residential care facilities such as care or nursing homes. We assist people with age-related illnesses, mental health issues, and learning disabilities, including those with complex conditions and challenging behaviors.
Responsibilities
1. Supporting daily activities such as shopping, cooking, tidying, and managing personal administration.
2. Providing personal care, including showering, toileting, and hygiene support.
3. Assisting with medication and non-clinical care like topical creams.
4. Supporting mobility, including moving, positioning, and using mobility aids.
5. Engaging in social activities, walks, nature outings, games, or arts and crafts.

Employers range from large providers such as Macintyre and the FED, to council-managed services like Killelea House, Rapid Response, and Persona, as well as smaller independent homes and community services including Hamilton House, Lifestyle Home Care, KV Care, and Choices Home Care. Requirements
* Demonstrate compassion, commitment, and resilience in challenging situations.
* Value kindness, independence, and person-centered care for vulnerable adults.
* Health and Social Care qualification is preferred but not mandatory for all roles.
* UK driving license is required for some positions.
For community-based roles, you must be a driver with a full UK license and access to your own car. Travel expenses are reimbursed monthly.
Additional Details
Shifts vary from part-time to full-time, requiring flexibility and availability for at least one weekend shift per month. Pay ranges from £11.44 to £12.50 per hour, with additional pay for night shifts.
