A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team as a Deputy Manager here at Quinnell House, where we provide personalised specialist dementia care and support to our residents.
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent.
Salary: Rewarding - Dependent on experience.
Quinnell House provide a high standard of personalised specialist care and support for up to 51 older people with residential and dementia care needs. Joining the team as Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager with the day to day management of the care home whilst providing excellent care to residents and strong leadership support to the staff team. You will ensure that all legal requirements and company policies and procedures are adhered to within the defined timescales.
Your duties will include..
* The running of the home in the absence of the registered manager.
* The planning, delivery and recording of excellent care across the home.
* The supervision and instruction of training and development with new and existing staff.
* Maintaining strong and appropriate communication with residents, the home manager, families and all other necessary parties.
* Assisting with financial control through the management and maintenance of budgets agreed with the Registered Manager
Requirements
* Diploma/NVQ Level 3 minimum in Health and Social Care.
* Experienced in Medication Management and Person Centred Care Planning.
* Good knowledge of CQC and current care legislations including safeguarding, DOLs etc.
* At least One Year's Supervisory experience in a care home.
* Satisfactory Enhanced DBS record check to be completed.
* Dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate about the delivery of excellent care.
* Strong communication and ability to manage and motivate staff.
Preferable
* Previous Home Deputy Management experience.
* Experience caring for dementia clients in a similar setting.
* A strong understanding of the seven stages of dementia.
* Experience and in date certificates for the delivery of training to staff.
