The Business:
Data and Analytics is at the very heart of everything they do. They’re in Financial Services and have offices in Manchester City Centre, easily commutable from most of Manchester and surrounding. You'll be in the office 3 days per week, surrounded by some highly cerebral people in a collaborative and meritocratic environment.
The Role:
We’re looking for a business-minded Insight Analyst with strong Python / R and/or SQL coding abilities who can develop actionable insight analysis to with substantial P&L Impact by increasing collections or cost reduction. Helping work more efficiently and become more proactive in our purchasing and collections strategies. You will join a high-performing and vibrant team of analysts, data scientists and data experts led by the Head of Pricing and Decision Science and work to help create a market for the trading and collection of commercial loans, credit cards and invoices.
You’ll have:
· Minimum 2.1 in a quantitative/sciencific subject (Mathematics, Physics, Economics etc.)
· Exceptional data competence and numeracy – with strong modelling
· Experience of credit / debt industry OR background in front office / sales led environment
· Strong coding ability or an aptitude and desire to learn (Sql, R, Python or some other programming language)
· Experience with NPV calculations, asset valuation and/or cash flow estimation approaches
