Technical Documentation Expert (Technical Writer)

5 days on site Näfels, Switzerland.

Full-time Permanent position

Must have Aviation Experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Documentation Creation: Develop and maintain high-quality technical documents, including user manuals, maintenance guides, operational procedures, system specifications for unmanned helicopter systems and supplement the documents with CAD generated detail views.
2. Document Review and Editing: Conduct thorough reviews and edits of technical documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
3. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to gather necessary information and ensure documentation aligns with system capabilities and requirements.
4. Documentation Management: Organize and maintain a structured repository of technical documents, ensuring proper version control and accessibility for stakeholders.
5. Compliance Assurance: Ensure all technical documentation meets relevant regulatory and industry standards, including aviation regulations.
6. Training and Support Materials: Create training materials and assist in developing training programs for internal teams and end-users, focusing on operational and maintenance procedures.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on best practices in technical writing and documentation management, recommending improvements to enhance processes and efficiency.

Competencies & Duties

8. Working independently and responsibly. Perform tasks as described above.
9. Compliance according to the client's employment contract, compliance with company’ safety instructions and employee’ safety requirements, compliance with employers’ quality manual, work instructions and corresponding process specifications and instructions.
10. · International travel required of up to 25% of employee’ working hours.

Qualifications

11. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; certifications in technical writing or documentation management are a plus.
12. Experience: Proven experience in technical writing or documentation engineering, within the aerospace, or UAV industry. Manned Aviation Industry experience is preferred.
13. Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
14. Communication: Very good communication skills. High social skills and good analytical and excellent technical understanding.
15. Language: Good language skills in English (oral and written). German desirable.
16. Location: On-Site in Näfels, Switzerland.
