Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in a care home setting and possess strong leadership skills to supervise and support junior staff. This role involves creating and implementing care plans, ensuring the highest standards of care, and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and meal preparation.
* Develop and maintain individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Ensure effective communication with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress using IT systems.
* Promote a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
Requirements
* Previous experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting is essential.
* Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
* Strong communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and colleagues.
* Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
* A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
