They are a top 15 Manufacturing business globally. They are currently recruiting for a Technical Solutions Manager for their Electrical Vehicle Range. The Electric Vehicle Technical Solutions Manager is responsible for designing and deploying technical solutions that enable successful adoption and support of LiuGong battery electric equipment in Europe and other mature markets.
This includes development of charging infrastructure, battery lifecycle strategies, warranty structures, diagnostics, and regulatory compliance. The role is critical to delivering a full-service BEV ecosystem and ensuring long-term customer success and sustainability alignment.
The position is hybrid, combining fieldwork, travel, and cross company collaboration with bases across the UK, Europe, and China.
Role: Technical Solutions Manager (Electrical Vehicles)
Salary: up to £70,000 + benefits + bonuses
Location: Europe (can be anywhere in Europe)
Key Responsibilities
Charging Infrastructure Development
* Develop and validate LiuGong-branded and third-party charging solutions across various duty cycles and applications.
* Introduce scalable systems including portable chargers, battery containers, exchange systems, and fixed charging piles.
* Ensure all charging equipment complies with European standards, is serviceable locally, and has appropriate warranty and liability structures.
Aftersales Enablement
* Lead the roll out and enablement of BEV-specific service protocols and diagnostic tools.
* Manage technical training to dealer technicians, rental staff, and customer operators.
* Develop structured support systems to improve uptime, remote diagnostics, and machine availability.
Battery Lifecycle & Recycling
* Define 2nd life and end-of-life strategies aligned with EU compliance, transport laws, and circular economy initiatives.
* Engage with certified partners for safe recycling, logistics, and energy storage reuse.
* Track real-time battery health and recommend operational or service interventions to prolong battery life.
Telematics & Connectivity
* Improve BEV-specific telematics platforms that monitor energy usage, uptime, and battery status.
* Customize dashboards and reports for key accounts and rental customers.
* Facilitate API integration with customer fleet systems to streamline asset management.
Warranty & Product Reliability
* Define new warranty structures for BEV platforms considering powertrain, charging, and energy storage risk factors.
* Implement root cause tracking for failures and collaborate with R&D and service teams for continuous improvement.
* Ensure product liability requirements are met for all BEV hardware in the region.
Training & CE Compliance
* Deliver technical training programs that ensure compliance with CE standards and safety best practices.
* Educate internal teams, dealers, and customers on product setup, service requirements, and operational safety.
* Support development of technical manuals and install guidelines in line with EU regulations.
TCO & Business Case Support
* Build lifecycle calculators for service teams and customers to model long-term BEV ownership costs.
* Educate customers on savings potential from maintenance, energy use, and regulatory incentives.
Thought Leadership & Market Influence
* Represent LiuGong in industry working groups, BEV conferences, and electrification panels.
* Publish technical white papers and use cases demonstrating LiuGong’s innovation and field performance.
* Collaborate with product marketing to align technical insights with commercial narratives.
Competencies & Skills
* Technical expertise in battery systems, EV charging, telematics, and diagnostics.
* Knowledge of CE standards, recycling regulations, and electrification legislation.
* Strong communicator with the ability to train, influence, and lead customer deployments.
* Cross-functional coordination with R&D, parts, service, and compliance teams.
Background Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or equivalent.
* 5+ years in electrification, EV infrastructure, or aftersales technical support roles.
* Experience in construction equipment or heavy machinery preferred.
* Fluent in English (additional languages beneficial).
* Travel across Europe and to China required.
