Job Summary
A friendly, patient-focused independent optical practice is looking for an Optometrist to join its supportive and close-knit team in the Weston-super-Mare area. This role offers the opportunity to work in a welcoming environment where personalised care, clinical quality, and strong patient relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations with generous testing times (35–40 minutes)
Deliver high-quality, patient-centred clinical care
Use modern diagnostic equipment to support accurate clinical decisions
Educate patients on eye health and preventative care
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with GOC standards
Act as a key ambassador for the practice within the local community
Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to ensure excellent patient experiences
Team Development
Work as part of a friendly team of experienced optical professionals
Share clinical knowledge and best practice with colleagues
Contribute to a positive, supportive, and inclusive team culture
Support the ongoing development of services and patient care standards
About You
GOC-registered Optometrist (or on track for registration)
Passionate about delivering high-quality, personalised eye care
Friendly, empathetic, and patient-focused approach
Willingness to learn and develop clinically and professionally
Comfortable working within an independent practice environment
Open to newly qualified Optometrists
