Civil Solicitor
Salary: £30,000 £35,000 DOE
Hours: Mon Fri, 9am5pm (part-time/flexible considered)
The Role
Our client, a reputable and growing law firm with a strong regional client base, is seeking a Civil Solicitor to join their expanding team. This is a varied role handling a broad civil caseload including landlord & tenant disputes, consumer law, employment matters, and more. The position offers excellent development opportunities and includes advisory work for new and growing businesses through a local council initiative.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a broad civil caseload, including:
o Landlord & tenant disputes
o Consumer rights and breach of contract claims
o Employment and HR matters
o Misrepresentation claims
o Wills and estate administration disputes
o Some commercial matters
* Provide clear, practical legal advice to individuals and businesses
* Represent clients in negotiation, mediation, and court proceedings
* Draft and review legal documents and correspondence
* Maintain strong client relationships with a high standard of service
* Support new enterprises through a local authority business support initiative
* Participate in business development and contribute to the department's growth
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
* Minimum 1 year PQE in civil law matters
* Strong communication and client care skills
* Able to manage a varied and occasionally complex caseload
* Organised, proactive, and collaborative approach
