Job Description
This is an Associate – Senior Auditor role within the Internal Audit Risk team based in London, covering several risk stripes (e.g., Market Risk, Principal Risk, Structural Interest Rate Risk). This role offers an exciting opportunity for career growth in audit, evaluating risk management and estimation practices across various asset classes and lines of business within JPMorgan Chase.
Job Responsibilities
* Support the Audit Risk team in executing the Internal Audit Risk Plan, covering multiple locations and legal entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Plan, execute, and document audit activities independently, including testing and control effectiveness reporting.
* Communicate findings effectively with stakeholders, analyzing risks and recommending improvements where needed.
* Provide overall control environment opinions, communicate results clearly, and escalate issues promptly.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships, promote transparency, and identify emerging risks and control issues.
* Stay updated on industry, regulatory, and technological developments affecting risk management.
* Collaborate with internal teams to support audit coverage and early issue identification.
* Review learning and development opportunities, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
* Participate in initiatives that support departmental and organizational goals, fostering an inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
* Knowledge of risk monitoring, including metrics like VaR and Stress testing across asset classes.
* Strong data analysis and qualitative review skills, understanding of market and interest rate risks.
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Capital Requirement Regulation.
* Analytical skills with an independent, objective approach to control assessment.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of presenting complex issues persuasively.
* Leadership qualities, self-motivation, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent education.
* Risk management qualification or advanced degree preferred.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
