Job Title: Probate Fee EarnerSalary: Up to £50,000Location: BakewellHours: Part time or full time with opportunity for flexibility on start and finish timesAbout the Role and Firm:CRA Consulting are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a valued client - a respected and growing private client-focused law firm - who are seeking an experienced Probate Fee Earner to join their expanding team.This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit, professional environment where client care is at the forefront. You will take on a varied and rewarding caseload of probate and estate administration matters while also supporting the wider private client team. The firm offers a warm, collaborative working culture and encourages flexibility, progression, and autonomy.The role will include but is not limited to:
* Managing a caseload of probate and estate administration matters from initial instruction to conclusion
* Preparing applications for Grants of Probate/Letters of Administration
* Liaising with executors, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and HMRC
* Advising on inheritance tax issues and preparing relevant forms
* Distributing estate assets and preparing estate accounts
* Supporting more complex private client matters alongside senior colleagues
* Assisting with mentoring and supporting junior team members where appropriate
* Contributing to business development efforts to help grow the department's client base
About You:
* Proven experience handling probate and estate administration files independently
* Strong understanding of inheritance tax, trusts, and the administration of estates
* Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or experienced non-qualified probate fee earner
* STEP qualification or working towards STEP (desirable but not essential)
* Excellent client care and interpersonal skills
* Highly organised with good attention to detail
* A collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude
