About The Boiler Room
The Boiler Room is an independent, well-loved bar in the heart of Leamington Spa, known for its rotating craft beers, real ales, cocktails and relaxed, industrial vibe. We pride ourselves on quality drinks, excellent service, and being a genuine local favourite.
We're now looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to run all the day-to-day operations of the venue and lead it into its next chapter.
The Role
As General Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of The Boiler Room — from day-to-day operations to team leadership, stock control, customer experience and financial performance. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in an independent hospitality environment and genuinely loves great bars.
Key Responsibilities
* Full operational management of the venue
* Recruiting, training, motivating and leading the bar team
* Delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining the venue's atmosphere and standards
* Managing stock, suppliers, ordering and cellar operations
* Controlling costs, margins, cash handling and weekly reporting
* Planning rotas and managing labour effectively
* Supporting and hosting events, promotions and tap takeovers
* Acting as the face of the venue and building strong local relationships
About You
* Proven experience as a General Manager, Bar Manager or Assistant Manager in a busy bar or pub
* Strong knowledge of craft beer, real ale and premium drinks
* A confident leader who leads from the front and sets the standard
* Organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing budgets and targets
* Passionate about hospitality and creating a welcoming environment
* Calm under pressure with excellent people and problem-solving skills
* Flexible to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods
