Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cooking healthy, nutritious meals for children following the EYFS guidelines, good culinary skills, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper sanitation practices.
* Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure health and safety, and adhere to all dietary requirements and allergy alerts.
* Keep safer food records.
* Preparing snacks and tea.
* Washing up/ cleaning kitchen and laundry.
* Working alongside friendly staff.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when needed.
* Excellent organisational skills and reliability.
* Ability to work in a busy environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.21-12.44 per hour
Expected hours: 32.5 per week
