We’re looking for a Scientist to join a growing R&D team focused on developing next-generation CAR-T and cell therapies in oncology.
We’re partnered with a well-funded, high-growth biotech that is scaling its immunology and cell therapy capability at the core of the business.
This is a Scientist-level role, embedded within R&D, where your lab work will directly inform experimental strategy and development decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Isolate and work with primary human immune cells (PBMCs, T cells) from blood samples
* Culture and maintain primary and mammalian cells under aseptic conditions
* Design, run, and optimise flow cytometry assays (immunophenotyping + functional analysis)
* Lead and refine functional immunology assays (cytotoxicity, cytokine release, proliferation)
* Contribute directly to CAR-T / T cell therapy workflows and development
* Analyse, interpret, and present data to cross-functional stakeholders
* Maintain high-quality experimental documentation (ELNs, SOPs)
What We’re Looking For
* BSc, MSc, or PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field
* Strong hands-on experience with primary human cells (PBMC isolation essential)
* Proven background in CAR-T, T cell biology, or cell therapy (essential)
* Practical expertise in flow cytometry (e.g. FlowJo)
* Experience in biotech, pharma, or CRO environment
Desirable
* Experience with cell separation techniques (e.g. MACS)
* Exposure to advanced functional immunology assays
* Track record of contributing to cell therapy development programmes
Why This Role
* Work directly on cutting-edge CAR-T / cell therapy programmes
* Be part of a fast-scaling biotech with strong funding and momentum
* Join a collaborative, science-led team where your work drives real decisions
* Clear progression into Senior Scientist and beyond
