Overview
As a Senior IT Technician, youll help support our systems used in offices, schools and childrens homes. They include in-house computer systems, wireless infrastructure, switches, routers, desktops, and relevant peripherals. You\ll install equipment, keep it well maintained, and troubleshoot and diagnose problems. You\ll support our data center and maintain connectivity, and with the help of our dedicated support team keep everything up and running across the Witherslack Group. You will support and develop systems, work on projects, support sites across the group with IT issues and work on new site developments. There will be travel to other sites around the Group, as well as remote support where possible. Collaborating with IT team members in different locations will help you progress and develop your skills. We will support your IT career with opportunities to work with the support team and expand your IT knowledge. The goal is to work closely with experts and deliver excellent customer service. Based in one of our outstanding schools, you\ll see the impact of your work and gain recognised qualifications to boost your career.
Having worked recently in an IT support role, you\ll bring what it takes to provide first-class support and service delivery. You have solid expertise in the following key areas:
* Microsoft operating systems and off
* Strong knowledge of IT
* Windows Server administration skills
* Knowledge and skills in VMware
You can install, configure, test, maintain and troubleshoot the above technology. This role requires motivation, discipline and teamwork. Good communication skills are essential, as you\ll be helping and training users. You will also need five GCSEs (or equivalent).
