Admissions Manager / Head of Admissions
Oxford High School is looking for an Admissions Manager / Head of Admissions to lead our busy admissions team across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and dynamic individual to lead our Admissions function and drive business development initiatives that enhance the school’s visibility and experience from enquiry to enrolment. This pivotal role combines operational leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring a seamless and customer‑focused admissions journey while contributing to the school’s growth and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Admissions team based across our senior and prep schools, develop and implement a high‑performing, customer‑focused admissions culture, monitor team performance, provide coaching and development, and ensure professional standards are upheld.
Own and continuously improve the school’s Admissions Policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with school values.
Oversee the full admissions cycle from enquiry to enrolment, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and welcoming process for prospective families.
Maintain accurate and timely admissions data and reporting to inform strategic decisions.
Develop and execute strategies to increase enquiries, applications and conversion rates.
Identify and pursue new markets and opportunities for student recruitment, including local, national and international outreach.
Analyse admissions trends and competitor activity to inform marketing and recruitment strategies.
Plan and execute all recruitment and admissions events such as open days, taster sessions and assessment days.
Build strong relationships with prospective families, feeder schools and key stakeholders to enhance the school’s reputation and appeal.
Ensure all communications and touchpoints reflect the school’s values and high standards.
Work closely with the Marketing team to align admissions messaging and campaigns and with academic and pastoral teams to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
Liaise with the GDST central team and contribute to network‑wide initiatives and best practice sharing.
