We have a great opportunity for a qualified HGV Fitter to join our busy workshop team in an expanding family run business
Hours: minimum 40 hrs per week, plus OT available
Our workshop is open from 4am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (including Bank Holidays - worked on a rota), and 4am to 12pm on Saturdays (worked on a rota)
Duties include:
* To carry out daily repairs and maintenance to any Company vehicle/equipment including but not limited to: Skip Loaders, Hook Loaders, Dustcarts, Artic Units, Rigid Vehicles & Trailers.
* Carry out maintenance to MOT standards, servicing, defect repairs and complete the defect book
* From the job sheets, follow required instructions and complete tasks to a high standard and timely manner
* Record and report any potential problems or future work that maybe required
* Complete electronic safety inspection job cards after maintenance/repairs are completed and record parts used
* Update records on Fleet Management System
* Carry out hydraulic and electrical repairs to vehicles
* Prepare and present vehicles and trailers for MOT at testing stations
* Move vehicles as required, including driving vehicles to and from inspection/repair centres
* Assist in breakdowns and recovery of Company vehicles
* General welding and fabrication to complete repair work required on vehicles
Skills:

* Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks
* Professional, polite and courteous manner
* Experienced in working with LGV's to MOT standards
* Experienced in understanding vehicle compliance, relating to the Company's operator licence
Beneficial:
* Vehicle maintenance experience or qualification
* LGV Licence Class C or C&E
* HIAB/Crane/Grab ALLMI or NPORS
* L.O.L.E.R and P.U.W.E.R qualification
* Full driving licence
* Driver CPC
