Locum Consultant in Radiology - Cross Sectional Imaging
Hywel Dda University Health Board are seeking a dynamic Locum Consultant Radiologist who is a specialist in cross sectional imaging and possess a flexible approach to work.
The appointment will be based at Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest, joining the Radiology team to provide CT and MRI reporting duties on a 4-week rotation, including vetting and reporting of urgent, emergency, general and oncology cases.
Candidates with subspecialty reporting interests are welcome. The candidate will contribute to the wider workload of the department subject to job plan discussions, including teaching radiology trainees, reporting Radiographers, undergraduate students, and other hospital staff. A flexible working approach is essential with the Health Board requirements described in the job plan.
Out Of Hours (OOH) on-call is currently outsourced and completed remotely by an online teleradiology provider. The successful candidate will assist in providing a proportion of this service, including cross-site reporting and emergency cover for four main hospital sites where necessary.
The departments of Radiology operate as one department; the successful candidate will participate with existing consultants in providing radiology services across Hywel Dda and build good working relationships to augment current services.

Discussions around working pattern will take place during initial job planning, where preferences, requirements and options can be discussed and explored.
Responsibilities
* Provide CT and MRI reporting duties on a 4-week rotation, including urgent and emergency cases, general and oncology reporting.
* Vetting and reporting of urgent, emergency cases.
* Teach radiology trainees, reporting radiographers, undergraduate students, and other hospital staff as required.
* Contribute to the wider departmental workload as agreed in the job plan.
* Participate in on-call/out-of-hours arrangements as part of the department’s arrangements.
Qualifications and requirements
* Specialist in cross sectional imaging with suitable radiology fellowship or equivalent experience.
* Full GMC registration and eligibility to practice in the UK.
* Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a cross-site department.
