We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Paralegal to join our Children Services team within the Legal/Security/Law industry. Responsibilities
* Provide expert legal assistance and support in SEND cases, focusing on children services.
* Prepare and manage documentation for tribunal hearings and other legal proceedings.
* Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
* Liaise with clients, families, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.
* Assist in drafting legal documents, including statements, submissions, and correspondence.
* Maintain accurate and organized case files and records.
* Collaborate with legal teams and other professionals to ensure comprehensive case management.
* Stay informed on changes in SEND legislation and tribunal procedures to provide up-to-date advice.
Requirements
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal environment, with a focus on SEND and tribunal cases.
* Strong understanding of SEND legislation and its application in children services.
* Proven experience in preparing for and supporting tribunal hearings.
* Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and legal professionals.
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
* Proficiency in legal software and case management systems.
* A commitment to advocating for the rights and needs of children with special educational requirements.
Requirements
Requirements: Proven experience as a Planning Lawyer or similar role In-depth knowledge of planning law and regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent degree in Law Admission to the state bar Additional certifications or specializations in planning law are a plus
