What skills and experience we’re looking for
We are seeking a committed Pastoral Manager to support students’ behaviour, wellbeing and academic progress. This is a key role working closely with the Head of Year and Progress Tutors to ensure every student in the year group thrives.
Key Responsibilities
* Build strong relationships with students, providing mentoring and behaviour support.
* Monitor attendance, behaviour and pastoral records (including CPOMS).
* Support progress time, assemblies, reintegration plans and managed moves.
* Liaise effectively with parents, carers and external agencies.
* Assist with lesson cover (1 day per week) and support classroom management.
* Contribute to IEPs, behaviour plans and EHC processes.
* Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, trips and out-of-hours activities.
* Uphold safeguarding, behaviour and school policies at all times.

* Skilled in behaviour management and pastoral care.
* A strong communicator with a calm, professional approach.
* Organised, proactive and confident working with multiple stakeholders.
