Role Overview
Assistant Psychologist based at Luxborough Court School, an independent specialist day school in Essex serving pupils with autism and related needs. You will work within a multi‑disciplinary clinical team, supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments.
Responsibilities
* Build relationships and engage children and young people in assessments and interventions under the direction of a qualified psychologist.
* Support educational and residential colleagues in creating therapeutic living and learning environments.
* Conduct clinical assessment and formulation to offer individualised interventions and engagement to young people.
Qualifications
* Degree (or equivalent) in Psychology with components relating to young people and mental health or autism.
* Experience working with young people who have developmental trauma and/or neuro‑developmental needs such as autism, SEMH, and ADHD.
* Resilience to manage challenging situations.
* Team‑work ethos and a can‑do attitude.
* Empathy and honesty in caring for young people.
