Ulster Wildlife is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to play a pivotal role in the ambitious PEAT+ Project—a cross‑border initiative restoring peatlands across Northern Ireland and Ireland's border counties.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop the overall monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework for the project.
* Consult with project partners to finalise monitoring protocols and deliver training.
* Collect, collate, and analyse data and updates from all partners to track progress against key outcomes.
* Prepare quarterly reports and impact summaries for funders and stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in project monitoring, evaluation, data analysis, and reporting.
* Proficiency in data collection tools, statistical software, and M&E methodologies.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
* Knowledge of project management and impact assessment principles.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to engage effectively with diverse partners.
* Effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
* Experience in partnership and stakeholder coordination.
* A proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and adaptability to new technologies (such as AI‑based tools).
This is a full‑time fixed‑term post to 30 June 2029. Part‑time hours (30 hours per week) may be considered.
Salary: £28,693 to £30,933. Access to employer's contributory pension scheme – maximum 10% per annum.
