This business has a range of innovative services that caters for the largest OEMs and fleets across the UK.
The Opportunity
* Head of Operations
* Chipping Warden, Northamptonshire
* £45,000 - £50,000 basic salary
* 4% Pension
* 25 days holiday + Bank holidays.
The opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business has come up after securing a huge new client. As the Head of Operations reporting into the Chief Customer Officer you will be joining a successful self-sufficient team to drive the smooth daily operation of the business. You will need experience managing drivers, controlling the profit & loss of the department, and overall ensuring a seamless customer journey to maintain the ‘White-Glove’ service standard this business prides itself on for its OEM Clients.

You’ll be doing this:
* Managing a team of Drivers, Dispatch, training, and administrative employees. Ensuring vehicles arrive on time and where they need to be.
* Coaching the team to be better, ensuring a good working environment leading by example and listening to the team.
* You will be responsible for cost control so will need plenty of experience in successfully managing P&L.
* Ensuring customers are satisfied with the service by deep diving into operation efficiencies. This can be from analysing the route taken, ensuring drivers are adequately trained to deliver the service or listening to customer concerns and coming up with solutions.
* Bringing new ideas to the table in how the business can be improved and planning to implement them.
And you’ll need this:
* Previous experience of operating at a management level within the automotive industry.
* Experience in managing teams, coaching and mentoring.
* Good working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment Legislation.
* Strong communication skills, articulate and able to develop effective, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and peers.
* Analytical and organised in approach with good problem-solving skills.
* Budgeting and financial control.
* Distribution compliance knowledge.
