Teaching Assistant (Team Teach Trained) - Primary PRU Location: Longsight, Manchester Hours: Full-time, 8:30am start with staggered finishes (latest 5:00pm) Start Date: ASAP Salary: Dependant upon experience starting at £100 per day About the Role: We are seeking a Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and nurturing team within a Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). This is a full-time role supporting pupils who have experienced challenges in mainstream education and require additional social, emotional, and behavioural support. You will work closely with teaching staff to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment that helps each child reach their potential - academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. Implement behaviour management strategies effectively using Team Teach techniques. Support pupils in developing positive relationships and emotional regulation. Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the direction of the class teacher. Contribute to a safe, structured, and caring environment that promotes engagement and wellbeing. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals within the PRU.
