Procurement Specialist - London Danny Sullivan Group is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to work on their Distribution Network Operator (DNO) framework. Experience with EHV Transformers, GIS Switchgear, Cable, Electrical Equipment etc. is required. Our rapidly expanding client is seeking a talented Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team in London. This role offers an opportunity to play a vital role in managing the procurement process and optimizing acquisition of goods and services. Responsibilities: Source and manage suppliers: Identify and research potential suppliers through various channels. Evaluate suppliers based on key criteria like price, quality, reliability, and delivery. Negotiate favorable contracts, terms, and conditions. Build and maintain positive relationships with existing suppliers. Work with the procurement team to develop new supplier partnerships to expand procurement options. Manage the procurement process: Coordinate all aspects of assigned procurements, from requisition to purchase order issuance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill their procurement needs. Prepare, process, and review purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documents for accuracy and compliance. Monitor assigned procurement activities to ensure adherence to budgets, policies, and regulations. Cost analysis and savings initiatives: Analyze assigned procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency. Participate in implementing cost-reduction strategies such as bulk purchasing, supplier consolidation, and contract renegotiation. Track and report on procurement savings achieved through implemented measures. Supplier relationship management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with assigned suppliers. Conduct performance evaluations for assigned suppliers and address any performance concerns. Work with the wider procurement team to manage supplier disputes, claims, and contract variations. Compliance and risk management: Ensure adherence to all procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Participate in risk assessments for suppliers and procurement processes to mitigate potential risks. Monitor assigned supplier performance against contractual obligations and escalate any concerns to the procurement team. Procurement experience: EHV Transformers GIS Switchgear Cable Electrical Equipment Qualifications: 8 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with suppliers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in procurement software and tools like ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365). Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract law, and relevant regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field (preferred). Certification in procurement or supply chain management (CIPS preferred) a plus.
