About Long-Term Teachers
At Long-Term Teachers, we are seeking candidates who have experience or a desire to work closely with children with high behavioural needs.
We collaborate with a number of lovely Primary Schools in the Bristol area that need Teaching Assistants to join their friendly and supportive teams.
These schools serve pupils from challenging backgrounds. They foster a supportive environment where staff encourage each other, share ideas to solve problems, and ensure a safe learning space for all pupils.
The Role
Positions available include general Teaching Assistant roles or 1:1 support. Depending on your availability, options for full-time and part-time work are available.
We seek Teaching Assistants with experience or an interest in working with pupils with SEMH, trauma, and behavioural needs. Knowledge of these areas is essential.
You will be expected to:
1. Implement strong positive behaviour management strategies.
2. Collaborate effectively with the Class Teacher.
3. Be flexible and encouraging when working with pupils.
4. Adapt to the child's learning environment as needed.
5. Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
