Location: Grays, Essex
Contract: 12 months, Outside IR35
Rate: £450 per day
Working Pattern: 5 days a week onsite

About the Role As a Project Engineer, you'll support the Project Manager in delivering commercial growth (new installation) CAPEX projects. You'll plan and manage inspection and repair programmes for tanks, pipelines, and minor projects, supervising multiple engineering works across various locations. You'll oversee contract engineers, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and UK legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Improve project management systems, procedures, and workflows.
2. Coordinate project proposals with cross-functional teams (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Integrity, IT & OT, HSSE, Commercial).
3. Support Management of Change processes throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Ensure projects are executed according to plan, budget, and scope.
5. Develop scopes of work, budgets, forecasts, and Gantt charts for assigned projects.
6. Manage engineering projects in line with company standards and UK/European legislation (ATEX, PLSG, API, EEMUA, etc.).
