Are you a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role? We are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the L31 area, proudly rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.
This is a full-time, long-term position, offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to secure a permanent role within a supportive and inclusive school community.

The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to reach their full potential by:
Providing targeted support to pupils with SEN, both 1:1 and in small groups
Supporting children with a range of needs, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and social/emotional needs
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement IEPs, EHCPs, and tailored learning strategies
Supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the school day
Promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils develop confidence and independence
Creating a calm, safe, and nurturing learning environment where all pupils feel valued
Assisting with classroom preparation and contributing to a positive team culture
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience working in a school environment. This is an essential requirement.
Ideally, you will also have:
Proven experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
A genuine passion for making a positive difference to children’s lives
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
Confidence working as part of a wider school team
Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude
