WSP is a leading engineering and professional services firm. The Responsible Consumption and Production team is looking to welcome a consultant with experience in waste services options appraisal, waste flow modelling and/or waste procurement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and deliver options appraisals, waste flow and cost modelling, technical procurement advisory, business cases and proposal development.
* Provide expert technical input to waste projects and draft comprehensive reports.
* Lead client meetings from inception to final reporting, engaging a broad range of stakeholders.
* Develop and deliver innovative, cost‑effective methodologies and support business development initiatives.
* Manage projects ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery and high client satisfaction.
* Line‑manage or mentor junior staff.
Required Experience and Skills
* Consultancy, local authority or related experience on waste‑management projects.
* Hands‑on development of options appraisals, waste flow & cost modelling, and procurement documents.
* Knowledge of UK waste legislation and policy.
* Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to convey key conclusions succinctly.
* Excellent time‑management and collaborative teamwork.
* Degree in science, environment or engineering.
