Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
* Supervise and train kitchen personnel in food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and standards, maintaining consistency in presentation and taste.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.
* Manage kitchen staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
* Provide leadership and support to team members, fostering a positive work environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and production.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage a team effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
