The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to clients in their own home. This position requires an individual who can effectively communicate in English, follow care plans, and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the well being and very best experience for who you care for. Duties Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety. Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document daily activities and any changes in the client's accurately. Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding the client's progress. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those who have dementia or other cognitive impairments. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required. Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary. Skills Previous experience is preferred but not essential - full training given. Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. A valid driving licence is required for supporting clients in their own homes.
