About the Role The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of 9 experienced veterinary surgeons, supported by a highly skilled nursing team. The role offers flexibility in working patterns, including school hours, shorter shifts, or set days, allowing the individual to tailor their schedule to suit personal commitments. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a first opinion practice with a varied caseload and access to modern diagnostic tools, enabling the delivery of high-quality veterinary care. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality clinical care across consultations, medical cases, and routine/non-routine surgeries Interpret diagnostic results and make informed clinical decisions Manage cases effectively, including treatment planning and ongoing care Collaborate with colleagues and external specialists where appropriate Support and mentor junior team members and graduate vets Maintain excellent client communication and patient care standards About the Practice The practice is located in a desirable market town in Leicestershire and is known for its supportive, community-driven approach. It offers a diverse caseload and operates a 24-hour out-of-hours service, alongside advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities. Facilities include: Ultrasound Digital X-ray In-house laboratory Comprehensive diagnostic imaging The practice also actively supports local animal charities, including Cats Protection, Prickleback Urchin Hedgehog Rescue, Neville’s Nest Guinea Pig Rescue, and Leicester Animal Rescue.
