CAD Engineer - Melksham We are looking for a CAD Engineer initially for a 6 month contract for a world leading Rail Sub Systems supplier to the Rail industry, who produce braking, HVAC, driver assistance and auxiliary power systems at their facility in Melksham Wiltshire to work on the prestigious Crossrail Project. This opportunity for a CAD Engineer with experience in the use of Microstation CAD system, ProjectWise PDM system, and AutoCad. Experience in Platform Screen Doors or previous experience in working in a Crossrail environment would be advantageous. This is a contract position, so it is important that the successful candidate is able to work with minimum supervision, and be able to demonstrate the ability for team - working and able to evolve and sustain effective working relationships quickly, both internally and with any external partners. A systematic and methodical approach with good attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines is taken as read. Responsibilities include but are not exclusive to: - Conversion of STEP files in Microstation CAD software. - Creation of 2D sections and elevations drawings. - Check and release of interface and installation CAD data in ProjectWise PDM tool per Crossrail requirements. - Technical interface with internal and customer engineering team. - Creation of engineering drawings to high standards. - Create model files in support of technical publications. Rate £25.00 to £35.00 an hour Limited Company.
