We are currently seeking a dedicated Equality Policy Officer to join our efforts in promoting equality and fostering an inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the council's progress on the Strategic Equality Objectives and supporting the delivery of Integrated Impact Assessments. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the implementation of the Strategic Equality Plan 2024-28, which aims to improve outcomes for individuals with protected characteristics in Blaenau Gwent.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for equality, diversity, and inclusion, and demonstrate the ability to handle a diverse workload within a dynamic team. Key responsibilities include providing strategic advice, developing policies, and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of our equality initiatives.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
